Kanakamuni is a prehistoric Budhha. Kanakamuni translates as "the gold wise man". It is said that at his birth it rained gold. Until the age of 3000, he led a normal family life with his wife and daughter. Afterwards, following a short period of retreat, he attained enlightenment. It is said that the enlightened man stayed on earth for another 30,000 years.
