The sun celebrations were the equinox and the shortest day and the longest day respectively. The moon festivals always lie in the middle of the sun festivals. Their celebrations were intense and full of joie de vivre, but also characterized by deep respect for the changing conditions of nature.
It nourishes our soul and strengthens our connection to nature and the cosmos, if we are able to tune into these natural processes again.
Honoring with respect and reverence that which supports and surrounds us every day. Nowadays, with electric light and central heating; with the hectic pace of everyday life, there is a great danger that we will no longer feel the rhythm of nature, the power of the sun and the moon and the magic of a change of sun or moon. Everything runs uniformly, without highs and lows, without the wonderful magic that surrounds us.
