Gum Arabic comes from several species of acacia. It is a very fine resin which is harmonising and centring. It strengthens our feeling of being at ease. Its scent is very mild, therefore it is often used as a base resin for mixtures with herbs. Thus, pungent incense substances can be mellowed down.
