Rudraksha means "tears of Shiva" in English.

According to legend, Rudraksha trees grew precisely where Shiva's tears fell to the ground. High in the Himalayas, close to the heavens, Rudraksha trees have always been believed to possess powerful spiritual powers.

It is said that the seeds have a calming effect on our nervous system. They absorb and amplify the energy of their wearer, enveloping them in a cocoon of their own energy. This allows them to remain stable and protected from negative external energies. The smaller a Rudraksha seed bead is, the more valuable it is considered to be.
