Often our inner chalice is sealed by many injuries - it is a task of the human being to loosen these seals so that the feminine powers of the Goddess in us can flow unhindered again. The chalice represents the element of water - water stands for feeling and intuition. It also symbolises healing, fertility and abundance.
In rituals, the potion of the liquid from the chalice is used to strengthen and seal the ritual.
