Mistletoe Twigs from the White-Berried Mistletoe (Viscum album) are a richly traditional symbol and incense from Celtic druidic practice. The evergreen hemi-parasitic plant, which grows seemingly floating in the crown of trees, was regarded as the most sacred of all plants by the druids.
The Celtic druid Pliny described the ritual harvesting of mistletoe from the oak with a golden sickle. As an incense, mistletoe is said to be protective, healing and blessing. It connects earth and heaven and is used for protection rituals, healing rituals and to promote fertility.
Caution: Mistletoe berries are poisonous. Use: Place dried twigs on incense charcoal – spicy-herbaceous fragrance.
