Wiki / Anantamul / Sariva

Anantamul (also known as Sariva or Hemidesmus indicus) is a climbing plant from the Indian subcontinent with a long history in Ayurvedic medicine. The dried root releases a sweet, slightly vanilla-like and mild fragrance when burned.

In the Ayurvedic tradition, Anantamul is regarded as cooling, purifying and harmonising. As an incense, the root is used to cleanse spaces, calm the mind and support meditative practice. It is said to soothe heat and agitation and restore inner balance to the body.

Use: Place dried root pieces on incense charcoal. Mild, pleasant fragrance – well tolerated even by sensitive noses.
