Wiki / Amber Incense

Amber (also Ambar) in the context of incense refers to a popular fragrance type that combines warm, resinous and slightly animalic notes. The name derives from "Ambergris" (a substance from the sperm whale), although modern Amber incense contains no real ambergris, but rather a composition of benzoin, labdanum, musk and vanilla.

Amber incense has been a fragrance classic in oriental cultures for centuries and is today one of the world's best-selling incense aromas. The warm, sensually heavy and sheltering fragrance is used for relaxing evening incense, romantic atmospheres and to create an inviting feel-good ambience. It is said to be grounding, relaxing and harmonising.

Use: Available as incense sticks, cones and dhoop. A very popular everyday fragrance – ideal for living spaces and relaxation.
