Soapstone mortar
A soapstone mortar can be used to finely crush and grind woods, resins or flowers. A fantastic aroma is released when these intensely fragrant plants are freshly ground. Plants lovingly crushed by hand are preferable to those ground using an electric grinder, as the energy of the person grinding them is infused into the mixture. The mixture takes on a high vibration if, for example, mantras or prayers are recited whilst grinding. In addition, a mortar can also be used to make pastes or creams.
