Frankincense Oman – harvested from Boswellia sacra in the frankincense forests of the Dhofar region in Oman – is world-famous and was historically the most coveted trade commodity of the ancient world. The resin has an intense, sweetly citrusy, balsamic fragrance with subtle mint notes.
In antiquity, Oman was the center of global frankincense trade – "Arabian frankincense" trade routes connected Dhofar to the Mediterranean. Omani frankincense is highly prized in Islam for prayers and special occasions and is a national cultural heritage of Oman. As a spiritual agent it is said to enable the highest connections to the divine world.
Use: Place resin granules on incense charcoal. Classic, noble, and powerful.
