Rose Petals – especially from Rosa damascena (Damask Rose) and Rosa centifolia – are the ultimate symbol of love. As an incense, the dried petals release a delicate, sweetly floral fragrance that opens the heart and touches the soul.
Since antiquity, the rose has been dedicated to the goddess of love (Aphrodite/Venus). In Sufi practice, the rose is a symbol of divine love and the search for God.
