Wiki / Muira Puama

Muira Puama (botanically Ptychopetalum olacoides) is a tree from the Brazilian Amazon whose bark and wood are known as a powerful tonic. The name "Potenzholz" (potency wood) derives from its traditional use as an aphrodisiac and vitalising agent.

In Amazonian folk medicine, Muira Puama has been used for centuries as a remedy for exhaustion, potency problems and nervousness. As an incense, the wood is said to be strengthening and vitalising, awaken life energy and promote power and endurance. A potent incense for those seeking new energy.

Use: Place small pieces or chips of wood on incense charcoal. Spicy, slightly camphor-like forest scent.
