Wiki / Neem Leaves

Neem Leaves from the Neem Tree (Azadirachta indica) are known in India as the "village pharmacy". The tree is considered sacred in Hindu tradition and is associated with the goddess Durga. As an incense, the dried leaves release an intense, bitter-smoky and medicinal fragrance.

In India, neem leaves have been burned for thousands of years to ward off insects, evil spirits and illness. Neem is burned especially during epidemics and after illness. The leaves genuinely have antimicrobial properties and are used in incense practice for deep cleansing.

Use: Place dried leaves on incense charcoal. Intense smoke – very effective for space cleansing. Open windows.
