Wiki / Lavender Flowers

Lavender Flowers from Lavandula angustifolia are one of the most popular and best-known incense materials of all. The fresh, floral-spicy and slightly camphor-like fragrance has an immediately relaxing, calming and harmonising effect on body and mind.

Lavender was an important healing agent in antiquity and was used to scent baths (Latin "lavare" = to wash). In incense practice, lavender is the classic sleep and relaxation aid. It is said to reduce stress, alleviate anxiety, improve sleep and promote peace and harmony.

Use: Place dried lavender flowers on incense charcoal or use in a smudge bundle. Wonderful as a bedroom incense.
