Wiki / Cardamom

Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) is the "spice of the gods" and one of the most expensive spices in the world after saffron and vanilla. As an incense, the seed pods or seeds release a warm-spicy, slightly sweet and exotically oriental fragrance that simultaneously invigorates and harmonises body and mind.

In Arabian cultures, cardamom is closely associated with hospitality and love – offering cardamom coffee is a gesture of the highest esteem. As an incense it is said to awaken sensuality, stimulate digestive energy, have a clarifying effect on the mind and accompany love rituals. It is a classic oriental incense spice.

Use: Place whole pods or seeds on incense charcoal. Warm, spicy, inviting.
