Wiki / Gemstone Water

Gemstone Water (also Crystal Water or Gemstone Elixir) is water that is said to be energetically changed through contact with or proximity to gemstones and crystals. The theory behind it: every gemstone possesses a characteristic crystal structure and vibrational frequency that can be transferred to water – a medium particularly receptive to information.

The idea of gemstone water has a long history: Hildegard of Bingen (12th century) already described placing gemstones in water as a healing method. In modern gemstone therapy, stones are either placed directly in water (direct method) or arranged outside a vessel (indirect method, recommended for toxic stones). Popular gemstones for water preparations are rose quartz (love, gentleness), amethyst (calming, clarity) and rock crystal (purification, energy).

Note: Not all stones are suitable for direct contact with water (e.g. malachite, pyrite). When in doubt, use the indirect method.
