Dragon's Blood is the deep red-scarlet resin obtained from various plants – primarily from the Dragon Blood Palm (Daemonorops draco) in South-East Asia, as well as from Dracaena species in Africa and the Canary Islands. The intense red colour and strong, slightly sweet-resinous fragrance make it one of the most striking incense materials.
Dragon's Blood has a history spanning millennia as a magical and ritual agent. In European magic, Voodoo, Hoodoo and Asian incense traditions it is considered one of the most powerful protective agents. It is said to ward off negative energies, bestow power and strength and attract loving energy.
