Angelica Root (botanically Angelica archangelica) takes its name from the legend that the Archangel Michael revealed the plant as a protection against the plague. The powerful root contains rich essential oils and emits a spicy, slightly sweet and earthy fragrance when burned.
In European folk magic, Angelica Root is considered one of the most potent protective plants of all. It protects the home and its inhabitants from negative influences, evil spirits and misfortune. As an incense, it is used for protection rituals, to strengthen the will and during energetic cleansings.
Use: Place small pieces of the dried root on incense charcoal. Intense, spicy fragrance – ventilation recommended.
