Wiki / Acupressure

Acupressure is an ancient healing method from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) based on the same principle as acupuncture – but without needles. By applying targeted pressure to specific points along the body's energy pathways (meridians), the flow of life energy Qi (Chi) is harmonised and blockages are released.

Acupressure mats and pillows carry hundreds of small plastic spikes that apply gentle pressure to numerous points simultaneously when lying or sitting on them. This stimulates circulation, promotes the release of endorphins, and can effectively relieve tension, back pain and stress. Many users report deep relaxation, even a state of mild euphoria after use.

Application: Lie on the mat (initially with a thin T-shirt, then directly on the skin) for 15–30 minutes. Ideal in the evening before sleeping. Acupressure pillows are particularly well suited for the neck and shoulders.
